# Cookie Policy
**Last updated:** 23 July 2026
**Operator:** Connect2Pakistan (“C2P”, “we”, “us”, or “our”)
This Cookie Policy explains how we use cookies and similar technologies on the Connect2Pakistan Platform. It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
## 1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. Similar technologies include local storage, session storage, and pixels. They help the site function, remember preferences, and understand usage.
## 2. How we use cookies
### Essential (strictly necessary)
These are required for the Platform to work. They cannot be switched off in our systems if you want to use core features.
| Purpose | Examples |
| --- | --- |
| Sign-in / session | Authentication session cookies so you stay logged in securely |
| Basket / shortlist | Guest cart session identifier so your quote cart persists |
| Security | Tokens that protect forms and sessions |
| Preferences | Theme (light/dark) and similar UI preferences where stored locally |
| Locale | Language routing for English / Urdu experiences |
### Consent preference
We may store a local preference (for example in browser local storage) recording that you acknowledged this Cookie Policy / banner so we do not show it on every visit.
### Analytics and performance (optional)
If we enable analytics tools, they help us understand traffic and improve the Platform (pages visited, approximate region, device type). Optional analytics cookies or scripts are used only with consent where required by law. Today, core marketplace analytics may also be collected server-side from authenticated product events without advertising cookies.
### Marketing cookies
We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies for cross-site behavioural ads. If that changes, we will update this Policy and request consent where required.
## 3. Cookie duration
- **Session cookies** expire when you close the browser (or shortly after).
- **Persistent cookies** remain for a defined period (for example up to 12 months for a guest cart session) or until you clear them.
- **Local storage** entries (such as cookie-banner acknowledgement) remain until cleared by you or the application.
## 4. Managing cookies
You can control cookies through your browser settings (block, delete, or alert on cookies). Blocking essential cookies will break login, basket, and similar features.
Where we offer an in-product banner, acknowledging it records your preference for essential notices. For optional analytics (when offered), you can withdraw consent by clearing site data or using any preference controls we provide.
## 5. Third parties
Payment providers (e.g. Stripe), hosting, and similar processors may set their own cookies when you use their flows. Those cookies are governed by the third party’s policies.
## 6. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy by posting a new version with a revised “Last updated” date.
## 7. Contact
Questions about cookies: use the support options on the Platform or see our Privacy Policy for data-protection contacts.
