Make & Receive Calls Using a Softphone on your PC

A softphone is a small application that works with VoIP technology. It enables you to make regular phone calls from your Personal Computer.The interface normally looks and behaves like a traditional phone's dialing pad. A softphone can be used with your Connect2Pakistan account.

Make sure that following step being done properly:

  • Login to your account and go to SIP Account Setting Page
  • Download Eyebeam or Xlite from SIP Account Setting Page
  • Configure the Eyebeam or Xlite Using the Configuration Manual Given on the Same Page
  • To check the connectivity dial *121 and you will listen Your balance,If you do that's
       mean you are connected with the server and ready to use the softphone
  • You Must need to Purchase the Incoming Number to Receive calls, While for making
       outgoing you need to have credit in your account

Make & Receive Calls Using SIP VoIP device

You can also place outgoing calls using SIP VoIP Devices Like Linksys PAP2. Linksys PAP2 allow you to connect your normal telephone set with Connect2Pakistan Service. You will still requires Internet but you don't need to have computer up all the time.

Follow the step below to configure Linksys PAP2

  • Login to your account and go to SIP Account Setting Page
  • Download Linksys PAP2 Configuration Manual from SIP Account Setting Page
  • Follow the instruction given in Configuration Manual to configure your Linksys PAP2 device
  • You Must need to Purchase the Incoming Number to Receive calls, While for making
       outgoing you need to have credit in your account

Receive Incoming Calls on GTalk:

Now If you wish to receive your incoming phone calls on your Gtalk, you can simply enable the call forwarding feature in your user account to Gtalk. Calls placed to your incoming VoIP number will then ring to your Gtalk.

Follow the step below to Divert Calls to Gtalk:

  • Login to your account and go to Change Forwarding Page
  • Select Forward all Call to GTalk Email: from Change Forwarding Page
  • Enter Your Gtalk email in the given field and press Update Forwarding button
  • You Must need to add connect2pakistan.com@gmail.com to your Gtalk Friends list and
       make sure that you can see connect2pakistan.com@gmail.com online
  • Once you are done with it. All Incoming calls will be deiverted to your Gtalk
